Nike X JD Connected Membership AR
I had the opportunity to work on an exciting project, Nike X JD Connected Membership AR, together with OMM Agency. As a 3D motion artist, my role included designing 3D assets, creating animations, exporting them and ensuring these elements were optimized for augmented reality (AR) applications, enhancing user engagement and interaction.
Project Scope and Contributions
Animation Creation: Developed eight bespoke animations inspired by the intricate details of the shoe’s design. Each animation was tailored to highlight unique aspects of the shoe, enhancing the overall AR experience. All animations created in a way would work in AR seamlessly.
3D Asset Development: Utilized high-polygon scanned shoes to create detailed 3D models. These models were then carefully optimized to ensure a smooth integration with AR technology.
Optimization for AR: Focused on optimizing assets for AR use. This included reducing polygon counts, enhancing texture mapping, and ensuring efficient load times, all while preserving the quality of the visual elements.
Balancing high-quality visuals with performance requirements was challenging. This project provided a platform to showcase my skills in 3D animation and AR optimization, contributing to an innovative and immersive user experience.
Working on the Nike X JD Connected Membership AR project was an enriching experience that not only allowed me to hone my technical skills but also to contribute to a cutting-edge marketing campaign. I am glad to be part of the team to bring this project to life.
